the restaurant
Artists Charl and Andrea Fourie welcome you to the Bohemian Groove Café in Kaapsche Hoop, where home cooked food, great friends and creative art meet! The Restaurant offers a feast to the senses, with delicious food, vibey music, creative people and beautiful interiors. The gallery restaurant opened its doors in April 2011, and moved to the current new venue at the entrance of the village in May 2014. Both Charl and Andrea studied Art at the Pretoria Technicon, and opened the funky Zeederberg Coach House Restaurant in Sabie in 1995. After a 10 year stint in Hazyview in the hospitality trade and metal furniture factory workshops, they decided to settle in the sleepy village of Kaapsehoop.
The restaurant is an artpiece in itself, with fine art displayed on the walls, handmade furniture and lightfittings created by Charl. Charl’s blacksmith workshop creates custom design furniture, light fittings or objects d’art per client’s specifications – chat to Charl about this, he loves a design challenge!
